On Tuesday 17th and Wednesday 18th September 2013 staff from Warwickshire’s Community Safety team will be attending the National Community Safety Network conference at Middlesex University in Hendon, London.
The event aims to:
- Give a national voice to those engaged in promoting Safer Communities through participation in consultation.
- Engage directly with government bodies on policy and practice in the field of community safety.
- Support the professional development of those engaged in delivering Safer Communities.
- Share information to promote joint working amongst relevant agencies across the UK and Europe.
Team members are attending the event to share best practice and make the most of networking opportunities. Talks of interest include Alcohol & Drugs, Community Safety Connect and Supporting Gang Affected Women & Girls.
Community Safety & Substance Misuse Group Manager Paul Hooper and Community Safety Project Officer Martyn Stephens plan to tweet live from the event – look out for updates @SafeinWarks.
