Belt up! Time to get your child car seat checked

Last year, Warwickshire County Council’s Road Safety team found a worrying increase in the number of children who were not being appropriately restrained in cars during their annual child car seat clinic.

With this in mind, they have organised another series of Child Car Seat Clinics throughout Warwickshire this October – hosted mainly at local supermarkets, who have fully embraced the initiative.

Parents who visit the Child Car Seat Clinics will have the opportunity to get their child car seat checked by an experienced child car seat expert from V & C Consultants, and receive a Seat Selecta and advice – all for free.

Councillor Butlin said:

“We are still seeing parents transporting children either without the correct child restraints, faulty or damaged restraints, or in some cases no child car seats at all. This is highly irresponsible behaviour. Everyone knows that seat belts save lives, but it’s also important to make sure that they fit in order to do the job properly. This is an ideal opportunity for parents to get their seats expertly checked and ask any questions they may have.”

The Clinics will be held at:
