#Take a Holiday from #Alcohol; #Dry January
Alcohol Concern’s Dry January encourages people to avoid alcohol for 31 days and aims to talk about, reflect upon and ultimately curb risky drinking behaviours. It is a simple, accessible public health intervention, encouraging people to experience a month without alcohol. The campaign is aimed at social drinkers whose alcohol consumption may have “crept up on them”.
For some this is easy, and for others it’s a struggle, but there’s no doubt that avoiding alcohol for an entire month is good for our health and wellbeing. People who take part in Dry January could find they lose weight, feel better, save money and improve their sleep.
Thousands have already signed up to the challenge here – why don’t you?
