#Binge drinking has immediate effect on immune system

If you are not already involved it is not too late to join in with Alcohol Concern’s Dry January. The campaign encourages people to avoid alcohol for an extended period of days and aims to talk about, reflect upon and ultimately curb risky drinking behaviours.  The campaign is aimed at social drinkers whose alcohol consumption may have “crept up on them”.

For some this is easy, and for others it’s a struggle, but there’s no doubt that avoiding alcohol for a while is good for our health and wellbeing. People who take part in Dry January could find they lose weight, feel better, save money and improve their sleep.
