The bill to ban new & unregulated drugs (NUDs), often erroneously referred to in and by the media as “Legal Highs”, may drive the trade underground, two new reports suggest.

Based on the experiences of Ireland, who introduced similar legislation in 2010, “the UK Home Office and the European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction say the ban in Ireland has led users to illegal street markets and the dark web. Drug workers are concerned that users will turn to heroin and prescription drugs instead.”
