Warwickshire’s response to #RuralCrime to be featured on #BBC’s Country File

The initial results of a survey about people’s perceptions of policing and crime in rural areas will be revealed on this Sunday’s BBC Countryfile programme, which will also feature some of the initiatives in Warwickshire.

Presenter Tom Heap – himself a Warwickshire resident – spent a day filming with us and got to see a very successful community speed watch scheme in action at Brinklow, met Rural Crime Co-ordinator Carol Cotterill at the local school where a property marking session was taking place and then interviewed (on horseback!) Mounted Police Support Volunteers as they went through training for the scheme at Moreton Morrell College

Tune in to BBC1 at 7.10pm on Sunday (July 19).

Ron Ball, Warwickshire’s PCC, will also be joining Mollie Green on the BBC Coventry & Warwickshire’s Sunday morning show to talk in a bit more depth about the programme of initiatives to tackle rural crime in Warwickshire.  Tune in from 9.40am.
