We have read with interest an analysis of why pubs and clubs have been closing – smoke free; pre-loading; supermarket prices being blamed is familiar. But Netflix is also cited. Read the blog in full here.

Of particular note is the increase in the number of breweries.

The conclusion seems to be that we are just witnessing change and this normal and to be expected.  What hasn’t changed is the negative effects of excessive consumption of alcohol. The challenge for education and treatment services will be to remain relevant for people who need guidance and help.
