Dr Steve Brinksman, SMMGP Clinical Director, reflects on International Recovery Month in a post inspired by walking down Effort Street and Recovery Street in London. Dr Steve Brinksman is also a GP in Birmingham and he is very well known, highly respected and well liked in the field of substance misuse and also for his tireless efforts in enabling access to treatment and improving standards of care for drug and alcohol misusers in a variety of settings. Steve has a long history of working with Warwickshire County Council Community Safety and Substance Misuse Team on a variety of projects and conferences and we look forward to working with him again in the future.
