Reminder – Another free serving of ‘Phish and Chips’ for #Nuneaton and North #Warwickshire businesses

Small businesses in Warwickshire, and especially in Nuneaton and North Warwickshire are urged to book now for a second helping of ‘Phish and Chips’, an expert led free cyber-crime and data-security advice and education seminar.

‘Phish and Chips Nuneaton and North Warwickshire’, will be held on Thursday 19thNovember at Weston Hall Hotel, Weston Lane, Bulkington from 4pm.

Organised by Warwickshire County Council Trading Standards, this free seminar with ample free parking and free buffet is open to all Warwickshire small business owners (booking on a first come first served basis – limited places).

Come along and learn more about the essentials of cyber security, meet local cyber specialists and see, from a controlled live hack, how easy it is for your data to end up in the wrong hands.

Warwickshire County Councillor John Horner, Portfolio Holder for Community Safety said: “Cyber Crime is a serious and growing threat, both to High Street and on-line businesses. I would urge Warwickshire’s small businesses to take advantage of this free seminar.”

Warwickshire County Councillor Philip Johnson, Chair of the council’s Overview and Scrutiny Committee added: “This is a great opportunity for small businesses in Nuneaton, Bedworth and North Warwickshire to hear from the experts working in this field and obtain the advice they need to protect their own businesses.”

The first ‘Phish and Chips’ event was held in Warwick in May 2015.
