Stay hydrated
On the day of a big night out, make a conscious effort to drink as much water as possible. Even mild dehydration can lead to a headache so drinking upwards of 6-8 glasses of water will help combat the diuretic effect of alcohol.
Sensible snacking
Having a healthy stack before arriving at a party can be a great way to help you resist canapes. Something like plain yoghurt and banana which is high in protein and potassium is great for filling you up a little so you don’t overindulge of salty, fatty treats.
Avoid hangovers
Don’t skip meals before drinking; you need those nutrients to help your body fight hangovers. And when you are drinking try sticking to one type of drink at a time.
The morning after
A healthy breakfast with the right ingredients on the morning after can help replenish and boost your bodies fight against the dreaded hangover. An omelette with mushrooms, tomatoes, spinach and onions will be packed with vitamins and nutrients. Eggs are great because they contain the nutrient choline which supports the liver.
