Over the Christmas/New Year period Warwickshire Police will be issuing messages about #notsolegalhighs. They refer to the dangers of new and unregulated drugs (NUDS). These products are frequently called legal highs but they often contain illegal substances.

Just the fact that a substance is sold as ‘legal’ does not mean that it’s safe or legal.  You cannot be sure of what is in the product you have bought, or been given, or what effect it is likely to have on you or your friends.  Many such substances have been directly linked to poisoning, emergency hospital admissions including in mental health services and, in some cases, deaths.
