Hate crime can have devastating consequences for the victim, their family, witnesses and the community as a whole. However, public awareness and perception of hate crime remains low with incidents being significantly under-reported.

As part of Warwickshire’s partnership work to address these issues, the Equality and Inclusion Partnership (EQuIP) is running a number of FREE hate crime awareness training sessions during February and March 2018.

The sessions, which last for approximately 2 hours, are designed for frontline professionals, volunteers and community leaders.

The course will raise awareness of what hate crime actually is and give delegates the knowledge and skills to identify it and refer someone for support.
