Could you spare a few hours of your time every three months? #volunteer #WarksHC
Warwickshire Hate Crime Partnership is looking for volunteers to join our Hate Incident Partnership Panels (HIPP). We need your valuable input and insight to shape the way our hate crime services and campaigns are run.
The panels were set up in 2015 to discuss hate crime in Warwickshire and are forums that are made up of community members as well as representatives from statutory, voluntary and community organisations. There are two groups – one for the north of the county covering Nuneaton & Bedworth, Rugby and North Warwickshire and one for the south covering Warwick and Stratford districts. The groups meet every 3 months and they:
- Discuss local community tensions and national hate crime patterns
- Review hate crimes and incidents reported in the last 3 months
- Scrutinise hate crimes dealt with by the Police
- Plan and provide advice on new campaigns
- Help with promotional activities and raising awareness of hate crime in the community
Any member of the community is welcome to join their local group but ideally we need people who:
- Have an interest in hate crime
- Would like to share opinions and offer advice
- Have a good network within their community and an understanding of their needs
