National Day of Remembrance For Victims of Honour Based Abuse
Today (Wednesday 14th July) is the National Day of Remembrance for victims of honour based abuse. This date is particularly poignant as it marks the birthday of Shafilea Ahmed, who was killed by her parents as part of an honour based crime.
Shafilea was 17 years old.
There is help available to anyone who knows or who is vulnerable and subject to honour based abuse.
